You are your actions. These are mine.
Combining my marketing and event talents, I joined the planning and design team at Down The Aisle as their 2015 summer intern. This role provided me with digital experience across a variety of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Hootsuite and YouTube.
In May 2015 I attended the Experiential Marketing Summit in San Francisco. This conference is coordinated by industry magazine, Event Marketer, and fueled my passion for experiential marketing. I learned key trends and insights from industry leaders including: Budlight, YouTube, Oracle and Audi.
As Event Leader, I managed a team of seven individuals through all stages of planning and execution of a race held for over 300 K-8th graders. Sponsorship and funding in excess of $1000 was raised.
In December 2014, I was hired as a Day of Wedding Coordinator. Responsible for ceremony and reception logistics, I confirmed the set-up of the each venue, assisted with decor, signage and communicated with vendors.
Jack Welch is closely affiliated with Sacred Heart University, and makes an annual visit. I had the pleasure of hearing his discussion on the "Real Life MBA" and to meet him and his wife, Suzy Welch.
In October of 2014, I completed my first half-marathon in Newport, Rhode Island. After months of training, crossing the finish line was a reminder that my determination gets the job done.
Creating a road map for college students was the goal for Pioneer Planning. As a co-creator, I write content, edit and publish the magazine once a semester on campus and digitally.
Sacred Heart University quickly became my new home. Sharing and representing SHU has been a highlight of my time at college. I'm proud to be a Pioneer.
Sacred Heart University was my choice for the next four years. Eager to begin my education in Marketing and to get involved on campus, I was one of ten Business students honored with the John F. Welch Scholarship.
